Fortune Cookie Baby Booties

Project Description

What was your source for this knitting project? Online Photo or Website What are you most proud of? I'm not sure why that link doesn't work. I've added this as a new project that will take you directly to the pattern link. What advice would you give someone starting this project? This is a free pattern to all you Craftsy knitters! If you have never tried to knit, jump in with this simple pattern! Print out the fortunes, cut them into little slices and put a different one in each bootie!

These are really cute! I wonder what it would look like if you added a few stitches and made buttonholes along the top edge, and ran an elastic ribbon through them? I know my babies always kicked off booties, so anything to keep them on would be a plus, and it would only add about three stitches per row.

Or, if you were handy with a crochet hook, you could add a row around the top to serve the same purpose, after they were knit up. This has the advantage of holding the tops together, too.
