Crazy Lace- belle plume cardigan

What are you most proud of? Being able to add my own lace eyelet pattern and keep them evenly spaced. What advice would you give someone starting this project? By this class and Be patient! This is my first piece of knitted clothing so I am trying to savor the experience. I strongly recommend biting the bullet and ripping if you have a mistake.. It may take longer but the finished product will be more gratifying

Q&A with Alicia M

Carol0516 asked:
I'm not as far as this yet. What is the pattern that you used above the lace pattern? Does the lace pattern automatically flair out or did you do increases to create this effect? If you did increases can you explain? Beautiful sweater.
Alicia M answered:
Okay so the idea for the eyelet is from " PenelopeH's Lace Yoke Cardigan" and she says how to get the eyelet to work. Just search for her or check my favorites page. Then I just did 2x2 ribbing with purl ridges above and below. I also went down a size in needle. I got te feather and fan pattern to flare by going up needle sizes every few rows. Watch Myra's section on shaping and I think she talks about it there. Hope that helps and good luck!
