What are you most proud of? The final result was a surprise--nothing I planned for with the exception of the soft feel of the yarn I used. Good exercise for design possibilities not just with patterning but with color and or texture-- length and width--maybe even different yarns that have a similar rate of shrinkage when wet finished. What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used wooden needles because the bamboo was slippery so it was a bit slower process. The yarn had little twist so it could easily split if not attentive. I love its glossy and soft qualities - good drape for creative ways to wear applications yet elegant simply worn. I also noted that different patterns made different selvedges so that was interesting because some pulled in a bit while others were textured and still others just singular in appearance like a straight line (might be a choice consideration in the future). Deviate from the pattern to try something different...3rows vs. 3rows or 2, 1,3,1,2 . It was always an enjoyable process because I did not pressure myself with a time element for completion. My scarf measured 5 ' and I steamed it gently to even out the sides.
