Q&A with bythemoonlight

Monkeysmommy asked:
This is soooo cute! It's so hard to find cute things for my boys. I want to make one right now. I looked at the pattern and I agree that yours does look much more finished. I take it that the ties are I-cords sewn on afterwards, but could you tell me what the edge of the hat is? Is it just knit across for several rows, then you go into the k2p2 rib pattern? TIA
bythemoonlight answered:
Start with 5 rows of K1P1. Also, I worked the icord on both ends into the patter. 3 extra stitches on each end. To fit newborn snugly I stopped knitting when I had 6 rows of the purl ribbing and kitchener stitched up the back. I hope that information helps!
llofdahl asked:
do you sell this pattern?
bythemoonlight answered:
I don't. The pattern is available for free though. There is a link provided :)
michael4277426 asked:
How do you get the pattern?
bythemoonlight answered:
Next to the Free! The pattern is clickable.
vsherk asked:
Neither of the free patterns look like this picture. This one has the cute edging that neither of the pattern pictures shows. Can we get the pattern with the edging? Thanks!
bythemoonlight answered:
If you scroll down I commented some notes on changes that I made. Let me know if that helps.
