Pattern Details

This easy to knit striped shawlette is worked completely in garter stitch from the bottom point up to top edge. It can be knit up entirely in one yarn weight or a combination of two, as demonstrated by the shawl in the photos. Brooklyn Tweed Shelter (worsted weight) and Brooklyn Tweed Loft yarns (fingering weight) were both used. It's a great stash buster as pretty much any yarn goes. Have fun experimenting! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit M1= make one increase GAUGE 20 stitches and 48 rows = 4 inches in garter stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS The finished shawlette measures approximately 32" across the top, 16" in height from the center point and 22" up its sides. SUGGESTED YARN 350 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Brooklyn Tweed (Shelter and Loft) COLORWAY Sap and Cast Iron

Recommended with this pattern

  • 350 yards collectively of all colors used (worsted and fingering weight yarns were used to make the shawlette in the photos)
