Tumbledown Wristies are a quick and effective knit, making a lively bell shape suitable for all seasons. Particularly effective worn under winter coats for a splash of colour, these wristies are a great way to experiment with lace knitting. Using a simple 8 row repeat, these wristies are great travel knitting, and with an effective stretchy rib section, you can be sure of never losing them! This pattern provides instructions for knitting the wristies both flat and in the round, so that knitters may choose a method depending on their skill level and personal preference. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit, purl, basic lace (yo, ssk, k2tog) GAUGE 9sts per inch in Lace pattern. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Tumbledown Wristies will fit wrist circumferences of 5-8"/13-20.5cm. If a larger size is needed, increasing needle size to generate a looser gauge is recommended. The wristies are approximately 6"/15cm in length. and have a circumference of 14"/35.5cm at their tip.

  • 140m Sweet Clement Besotted in Tokyo Purple (80% Blue Faced Leicester Wool, 20% Silk - 800m per skein). As yarn is worked double for part of this pattern, winding into a centre pull ball is recommended so that both ends of yarn may be used.
