My children love pumpkins and fairies, so with a little bit of imagination and a sprinkling of fairy dust, The Great Pumpkin Fairy was born! This little toy is sure to be a hit, not only with kids, but also the kid-at-heart in all of us, especially those who love fall. And who doesn't love a pumpkin? This knits up super quick, all in one piece and offers a great chance to embellish your fairy to your hearts content. Jessica Anderson is a wife to one wonderful man who supports her “yarn habit” and mommy to 4 sweet, funny and crazy kids (who sometimes resemble monkeys!). She started knitting about 6 years ago when her husband thought it was silly to spend $60 on a pair of longies to go over our little one’s cloth diapers (he has since spent well more than $60 on yarn and knitting!). After spending about a year sample knitting for Blue Sky Alpacas, she decided to try designing her own patterns when she could not find a pattern for a dress that she wanted to knit for her baby girl. Since then, she’s come up with a couple of things, several kid patterns and a few adult ones, including Tapioca. Her first published design, Go Bananas!, is in the Winter 2013 Petite Purls. Her most recent pattern is being offered from Spud and Chloe, Half-Pint Dress.
