Warm and wearables to knit easily, from Frugal Knitting Haus! Toppers to wear over dresses, pants, skirts, turtlenecks, etc. Patterns include hooded fur coat, lace edge poncho, and a "groovy" vest . All easy to knit! (worsted weight yarns) Uses worsted weight and fur yarns, and knitting needles, US# 8, plus size G crochet hook for vest ties. You will also need 3 buttons for coat, and 1/2 inch wide ribbon for "inside" button band. GAUGE 4 and 5 sts. per Inch, unique to each pattern SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Fits most 18" dolls, similar to American Girl Dolls. SUGGESTED YARN 130 yards of Worsted weight COLORWAY Knitter's Choice

  • For Hooded Fur Coat, we used Patons Carmen, a worsted weight fur yarn, using 2 balls (each ball is about 64 yards). Knitting needles US size #8, plus 3 buttons and small amount of 1/2 inch wide ribbon for button band. Gauge on this pattern is about 4 sts = 1 inch. For Poncho, use worsted weight yarn, about 11/2 ounces, knitting needles size #8, and crochet hook size G for tie. Gauge on this pattern is about 5 sts. = 1 inch. For Vest, use worsted weight yarn, almost 1 ounce, knitting needles, size #8 and size G crochet hook for ties. Gauge on this pattern is 5 sts = 1 inch
