Such is the quality of bees" -Leo Tolstoy This is a pattern for a small blanket knit in the round, including stranded colourwork, a steek, simple cabling, and a mitered corner edge. You may increase the size by knitting multiple motif or extending the edges (please note: yarn amounts will increase). For the size and design pictured, you will need 6 skeins of Anzula for better or worsted in colour A and 3 skeins of Anzula for better or worsted in colour B. I provide links, in the pattern, to stranded techniques and cutting the steek. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY interest in steeking familiarity with stranded colourwork familiarity with knitting in the round familiarity of picking up stitches familiarity with cables GAUGE 19 stitches and 24 rows = 4 inches in stranded stockinette, worked in the round, gently wet blocked SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 42" x 52", can be made smaller or larger SUGGESTED YARN 1800 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Anzula, For Better or Worsted COLORWAY storm and toffee
