This shawl was inspired by the night skies over Alaska. Constellations are scattered through the deep blue stockinette section, catching the light as you move. They shine on the snow flurries lace pattern which transitions into graceful points of light at the edging. Wear it and show Cassiopeia who the real beauty is! I currently reside near Denver, Colorado, because when you live in a place where it sometimes snows in May nobody questions your obsession with knitting. I was born in Germany, grew up in Texas, went to college in three different states and two different continents, and I'm currently working on an ebook about Icelandic knitting. When I'm not assisting other designers with pattern formatting, writing, editing, and stitch charts, I design, tweet, occasionally blog, and Rav under the name JelliDonut. I consider the iPad and coffee to be critical knitting accessories, play a lousy game of tennis, and bake a mean loaf of bread. Yes, all at the same time.
