PATTERN DETAILS

This is an old typed pattern which was a handout at a Machine Knitting Club I used to attend years ago. Because it was very faded I retyped it and wanted to share it as it is a great pattern to knit. This pattern is quick to make and has minimal sewing which is an advantage. If you follow the pattern to the letter, all will become clear. The only seam is under the arm, which can be grafted or cast off and sew up. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Machine knitting, short row shaping, grafting SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Preemie size

Recommended with this pattern

  • 30g 4ply (sport) Acrylic Yarn, nylon cord, 4 buttons
  • The knitting machine is a standard gauge. Mine is a Brother

My mum taught me knitting and crochet when I was about ten years old. I started knitting and crocheting a lot more when I had children, and was at home with them. As I got older and got arthritis, I did a lot more because of difficulty in walking and I needed a hobby. Now I am always doing something. I make a lot of bits for charities, mainly baby clothes. Also for my family. I help my granddaughter with her crochet if she gets stuck. I am so proud of her. She is a natural and picked it up very quickly. ******************************************************************* Hello all, I am craftyladyuk's daughter. Sadly our mother passed away unexpectedly on 24/8/16. I am not closing her account here as she would love the idea that her patterns were still 'out there' and being used (nearly 6k downloads in total so far). This does unfortunately mean that any questions you have about them can no longer be answered as I'm not knowledgeable enough on the subject. I would hope that if any problems arise with any of her patterns that you guys will help each other solve it via the comments/forum. If anyone is interested to know all mum's knitting machines (amongst other things) went here http://www.workaid.org/ so even now her 'crafting' legacy is improving peoples lives! Regards, Nikki
