Pattern Details

Easy knitting, great for the beginner. You will hold 2 strands of thread together. The stitches are VERY loose, and no gauge is needed. Resulting fabric "scrunches up" or stretches out. Add stitches to make it wider if you want more as a shawl. Pattern is written in American terminology. You are welcome to sell items made from this pattern, on a limited basis. I'm Melanie Rice, a freelance designer living in Texas, with lots of pets and lots of yarn…. I would describe my style as classic, with clean lines, smooth edges, and minimal fuss. My design goals include: ~ creating useful / wearable designs that are simple without being boring, ~ providing adaptability in the designs whenever possible, ~ writing patterns that are concise and clear with an uncluttered layout, ~ including affordable yarns when knitting my samples, and giving acknowledgement to stitch pattern sources as applicable. I am fortunate to have patterns featured in Interweave Knits Magazine, LoveKnitting’s Winter Catalogs and monthly Top 10 Pattern selections, and Craftsy’s Crochet Blog. I hope you find something in the shop that you will enjoy, and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a question!
