Nothing warms a New England winter more than a cozy rug to step onto first thing in the morning. This one is no exception, with its rich natural tones harmonizing with the beauty of the world outside. The Rare Earth Rug can be worked from handspun yarn, as here, or with commercially available yarns in natural shades of browns, greys and off-whites. The wonderfully gentle gradations of colour are achieved by working with two strands of yarn in ever-changing combinations. The stitch pattern is reversible and lies flat without curling or distortions. NB: A pattern for a set of co-ordinating cushions, the Rare Earth Cushions, is available separately. PATTERN INFORMATION: The pattern includes stitch charts and full line-by-line instructions and is available for immediate download as a pdf file formatted for US/Letter-sized paper. The pdf file can be printed out or viewed on a computer, iPad or iPhone directly. The pattern is also available in a UK version for printing onto A4 stationery. Please let me know if you would prefer this version. ©Moira Ravenscroft, 2015 E-mail: email@example.com Website: www.wyndlestrawdesigns.com - - - - - DIFFICULTY: Intermediate SIZE:: 85 x 105 cm / 33 x 41 ins YARN: Cascade 220 or hand-spun worsted wt yarn, 100% wool, 200m/220 yds:100gm ball Cols: 5 co-ordinating colours: ...
