This Proud Penguin hat is fun to wear, but a little complex to knit. I'd recommend it for an intermediate knitter who's comfortable working with several yarns at the same time. The colors are worked as intarsia blocks, and not stranded across the back like Fair Isle knitting. The wings and beak are joined to the hat with a 3 Needle Join, which is similar to a 3 Needle Bind Off. The wings can be worn as ear flaps, or buttoned back. The eyes are added with Duplicate Stitch. There are separate instructions and colored charts for each size. Also included are gift tags for you to print.
