I wanted to design a sweet little swing coat with a hood that had an added element of surprise. I chose to add a surprise color to the inside front panel, sleeve cuffs and the hood, to give it a little pop! To me, the surprise color says "Peek-a-Boo", just like the popular children's game. I made my dad teach me how to knit the summer before I got married so that I could make all the women involved in my wedding small decorative scarves as thank you gifts. There were 12 women involved in my wedding. I should've known then that I was ambitious. I am a mother, musician, teacher, crafter who dabbles in knitwear design. I am the co-editor of the online knitting magazine, . I'm also obsessed with clean, healthy eating, my child's education, and reading. You can find me on my soapbox about various topics at any given moment.
