Marley's Garden is a good pattern for knitters who are newer to stranded knitting. The motif is not complicated and the front and back of the mitten are identical. Detailed measurements are given along with a diagram to help you obtain a good mitten fit. The pattern includes three versions of the motif. Each version comes with its own small/medium (64 sts) and medium/large (68 sts) color charts. 3 patterns, 2 sizes, 6 charts in all. So with lots of color combinations to dream up it can be a good value. Written directions and charts for colorwork. All my mitten patterns include other knitting tips in regard to yarn dominance, floats, decreases, and increases. Happy knitting! This pattern coordinates well with the free "Candy Stripes" scarf/shawlette pattern. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Knit, purl, decreases.
