I am in love with the ease of knitting involved with a crescent shawl, as well as the ultimate length that is achieved. I like my shawls to be versatile; something that can be worn as both a shawl and a cowl. I also like my shawls to be transitional so that I can wear the same shawl with blue jeans one day and evening wear the next. The Market Street Shawl is every bit of all of these things that make a shawl an indispensable year-round accessory for me. The Market Street Shawl is a crescent shawl pattern that includes a delicate complement of vintage knit-on lace along the lower edge. This pattern is written without charts and is worked flat. The lace edging pattern is simple enough that charts are unnecessary.
