Lunaris (Latin for lunar, after its moon-like shape) is a simple crescent-shaped shawl with just a bit of ruffle. Worked from the top down in Stockinette stitch with a gradient stripe pattern, it can be done monochromatically - in two yarns with similar weights but different textures - or with more distinct stripes. Wrapping it around the neck creates a scarf with cascading ruffles; draping it as a wrap really shows off the stripe pattern - either way this is a lovely light piece to wear as the seasons change. A photo tutorial has been included for the Garter Tab Cast On that begins this shawl.
