My passion for nature manifests itself in my knitting designs where the simple leaf symbolises the need for care and protection. I continue to be inspired by nature's creations, by conjuring designs that signify the need to protect the earth. The scarf with its cables tenderly cradling the leaves reflect my concern for the environment. Using the intarsia method of knitting, the two tails of the scarf are worked separately to look identical and joined in the middle with ribbing and Kitchener stitch. The love that I have for knitting and the pure joy that it brings me has been passed down to me from both my mother and my grandmother. Decades later, my passion for knitting has only deepened. I know that knitting will always be an intrinsic part of my life, and I am excited to conjure up new ideas, designs and projects. Besides knitting I love crocheting, cross-stitching, sewing, cooking, listening to music, watching movies, etc, etc, etc.--I wish a day was longer sometimes! I find indulging in creative pursuits is very therapeutic and relaxing much like yoga.
