Pattern Details

Latvia is a part of Eastern Europe that borders the Baltic Sea. Mittens played an important role in the marriage rites of traditional Latvian households. These mittens are knitted in worsted weight for ease of construction, and include the classic details of traditional Latvian Mittens such as a scalloped cuff, the Latvian Braid and half-braids, and fringe. The motif can be knitted in two or three colors within one round.
