This asymmetrically shaped triangular shawlette is worked from the top down. Cozy and warm it uses garter stitch to break up pooling in variegated yarns, but looks great in solid colors too. The pattern contains a chart to follow the asymmetrical row counts and includes instructions for 2 different types of ties. For making tassel ties you will also need: Measuring tape, scissors, crochet hook (or other tool to pull end through fabric), pin to hold shawl still while making tassel and something to pin the shawl to - blocking mats, carpet, a piece of upholstered furniture GAUGE 18 sts and 43 rows to 4 inches/10 cm in garter stitch. Differences in gauge will impact the finished size of the shawl and the yardage used, but is not crucial to fit. SUGGESTED YARN 350 yards of Worsted weight

Recommended with this pattern

  • US 9/5.5mm circular needles (used as straight needles) with at least a 24" cable
  • 350 yards worsted weight yarn
  • 2 stitch markers
