Need a last minute gift? These darling mitts can be made up in a jiffy. constructed with a simple afterthought thumb- no need to interrupt your fair isle groove. Use up yarn from your stash! These are made with a worsted weight yarn but I have also used DK weight and even sport weight yarn, which results in slightly different sizing, but still fit an average size hand. You can change the size by using larger or smaller needle sizes. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY able to use double pointed needles able to read a colorwork chart able to knit stranded colorwork in the round GAUGE 13 sts in 13 rds = 2" in color work pattern from the chart SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 7 3/4" in circumference and 7 " tall SUGGESTED YARN 175 yards of Worsted weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Stonehenge Fiber Mills Sheperd's Wool COLORWAY Hot Pink, Tan
