Welcome in spring with a lovely openwork-topped cardigan in cool cotton and linen. Using Elizabeth Zimmermann's "nalgar" construction from Knitting Workshop, this seamless sweater is worked from the bottom up and requires little finishing. The stitch patterns flatter any figure, with garter ribs that don't cling, but draw the eye upwards to fern lace spilling over the shoulders. "Haru" is the Japanese word for "spring," and very fitting for this classic spring and summer accessory for a light dress or jeans. For best fit, take time to try the piece on as you go. Also, the pattern contains several "Modification Notes" which are opportunities for you to tailor the pattern to your own body. These notes will walk you through, for example, adding length to the body or raising the neckline.
