PATTERN DETAILS

A cute and cosy little short skirt to team with favorite tights for winter. The pattern features a double moss stitch detail band and crochet band tie. Simple and quick to knit in the round to avoid side seams, you can finish this one in a couple of evenings. Using self striping wool will give interesting effects, but it will look just as nice in a plain colour. This skirt will fit from 9 to about 18 months of age. Waist is 45cm or 18 inches Lenght is 20 cm or 8 inches All you need is 50 g baby wool and a set of 3.75mm or US5 40 cm long circular knitting needles and a crochet hook. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit purl yarn overs easy flat knit pattern GAUGE 28st and 42 rows make 10cm or 4 inch square SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS fit 9 to 18 months PREFERRED BRAND/YARN 4 ply self striping yarn COLORWAY stripes

Nothing quite compares with making something for your little one yourself. I encourage everyone with the urge to have a go. It's fun and a lot easier than you think! One of my daughters knitted a very simple blanket for her baby brother when she was 10 years old.
