Inspired by the lovely, textural ice patterns found on a winter pond and knit in a bulky weight yarn, the Frostbitten Beret will keep you cozy and in style this winter, whether you're chasing vampires or simply chasing away the cold! This downloadable, PDF pattern has been professionally tech edited and test knit to reduce the potential for error. The pattern is charted, but also includes complete written line by line instructions so the ability to read a chart is not necessary to work this pattern. The Frostbitten Beret is worked in the round from the bottom up. A bulky weight yarn with good stitch definition and little to no halo is recommended. Slight tonals will work, but variegated yarn will distract from the lace pattern. Frostbitten is a quick knit, one skein project and can be completed in an evening or two making it the perfect last minute gift for a lucky recipient - especially if that happens to be you!! Whether you are new to knitting or have been knitting since you can’t remember when, I hope that you will enjoy my patterns. I strive to keep my patterns as straightforward as possible given the techniques being applied. I don’t want someone relatively new to knitting to be intimidated by my patterns. Nearly all of my patterns are charted, but still include full written instructions, so no worries if you prefer not to use charts. I am always happy to hear from fellow knitters and welcome questions on any of my designs - before or after purchase. Knit happy!
