Erika Cowl is knitted flat using a provisional cast on. The seaming is done by the three needle bind off. Both techniques are explained and demonstrated by a photo tutorial beginning on page 4. The Erika Cowl is worn wrapped around the neck. It features sections of stockinette stitch and horizontal ribs. The finished cowl has a circumference of approximately 48" (122 cm), so that it does not fit too loosely around your neck and keeps you warm. I'm a knitter!!! I was 8 years old when I asked my grandmother at a birthday party if she could teach me knitting sometime and she did it immediately. And after years of frustration I gave it up, I even was about to gift all my wool and needles, fortunately my room mate didn't want the needles. Then when I was 24/25 the knitting passion hit me again. Since then I didn't put my needles down any more.
