Pattern Details

Cornelia, a simple yet stylish garter stitch pullover, is your perfect first sweater project. The lovely puff sleeves create a soft and feminine look. The knitter has a choice between elbow-length and full-length sleeves. Both options have detailed instructions. The pattern walks you through all the steps of knitting a proper garment and gives you lots of helpful hints and advice. Cornelia is knitted flat from the bottom up, and then seamed together. After the shoulder seams are joined with a three-needle bind-off, stitches are picked up to knit the neckband in the round. A worsted weight yarn with a fair amount of wool will work best. Avoid yarns with little or no elasticity like cotton, linen, silk and alpaca. For a pullover with elbow length sleeves, you will need: 1210, (1300, 1370, 1450, 1560, 1670, 1770, 1880) yd 1100, (1180, 1250, 1330, 1420, 1520, 1620, 1720) m For a pullover with long sleeves, you will need: 1320, (1420, 1500, 1590, 1700, 1820, 1930, 2050) yd 1210, (1290, 1370, 1450, 1550, 1660, 1760, 1870) m BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY cast on bind off knit purl Other techniques (three-needle bind off, picking up stitches, ...) are explained in the pattern. My mother divided the women in our community into two distinct groups: those who like to clean things and those who like to make things. Looking at our house, it was not hard to figure out which group she herself belonged to. Growing up surrounded by a constant creative mess, it is not surprising that I too spend every free moment playing with fiber and fabrics. I live in the historical city center of Antwerp, Belgium, a city vibrating with fashion and art, which is a constant source of inspiration. When not knitting, I enjoy yoga, running, sewing and baking. In between, I make a genuine attempt to do my day job and to spend time with my family. I’m a brand new designer and I’m very pleased Craftsy provides me with a place to showcase my patterns. My portfolio is still limited, because I like to take my time to make the patterns I publish as professional as possible. I will never publish a pattern that has not been tech-edited and test-knit by several knitters. Feel free to ask questions about how the pattern is written or the techniques included before purchasing. Please contact me if you’re having problems knitting one of my patterns. I will always make time to help out!
