If you like to dream about warm and sunny summer days, then you will love knitting this shawl. Inspired by the whimsical beauty of poppies dancing in the wind in the middle of a golden field, wearing this shawl, you will feel just like one of these delicate flower is covering and keeping you warm! Knitted from the center top with increase rows shaping it into a semi circle, this shawl is an easy to memorise pattern with just a bit of challenge in the lace stitch pattern to keep you interested until the very end. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Provisional cast-on Knit, purl Increase (yo), decrease (ssk, k2tog, pcdd) Lace knitting GAUGE 24 sts and 22 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch (blocked) SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Approx. 20" [50 cm] at center back, 42" [106 cm] along top edge. SUGGESTED YARN 620 yards of Fingering weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Lang Yarns Jawoll Superwash Solids (50g/ 1,76oz, 210m/230yd, 75% wool, 18% nylon and 18% acrylic), 3 balls of Fingering weight yarn.
