This textured 28" x 36" (66cm x 92cm) baby blanket is knit in one piece, back and forth on a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches. A worsted weight/#4 yarn in cotton, cotton blend or acrylic would make for a beautiful, soft and washable blanket perfect for crib, stroller or pram. The pattern includes both line by line directions and a chart for the chevron motif which repeats over 16 rows. Using only knit and purl stitches this pattern would be great for a beginner knitter who is confident in counting rows. Need a matching pillow? Originally from the UK, and after almost 13 years in Texas, I now live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and sons. Easily outnumbered by boys in my house, I am queen of my little realm, hence the title Ladyship! Ever since my Mum taught me to knit and sew I have loved the creative process and experimenting with design. I find pillow covers to be the perfect way to combine my love of design and the textures that can be created with a single strand of yarn. I especially love experimenting with cable patterns.
