Pattern Details

Celtic jacket 6-9 M This pretty little jacket/sweater has beautiful braids on the bodice combined with garter stitch and a celtic braid on the sleeves. Looks fabulous on, could be for either girl or boy. The very cute little celtic sweater would make a great gift for the baby! This one-piece suit is knitted from bottom up. Sleeves are knitted separately and then joined together at yoke which means minimal seaming. The matching jacket is knitted from the top down. Jacket and sleeve length are fully adjustable, and also minimal seaming is involved. It is very quick to knit up and would be suitable for both the beginner or intermediate knitter. May look complicated however it is VERY SIMPLE to knit, definately worth knitting. Baby wool was used for this outfit, which is super soft next to babies delicate skin. I have gone back to the basics with this jacket, vintage with a modern twist. I was inspired by the Nordic winters, and a simple, yet beautiful celtic pattern gives this sweater a very soft, cozy feel. My name is Arianna, I have an architecture degree, all my life I've loved to make and create things. I like to see a raw material be turned into something useful or beautiful. At the moment I'm obsessed with creating things from wool for my daughter. I began knitting in 2010. My initial attraction to knitting was the charm of celtic pattern. Not only does the craft have a rich history on its own, but each individual braid has its own story to tell. I love the idea that I am not just creating something beautiful to look at, but also something to be used, something that can become part of a family's history. My hope is that patterns I make will be used and loved and then passed down through generations. All the pattern are handmade by me with my own two hands and imagination in my home in Italy.
