Allegro is an easy open front cardigan worked from the top down in a warm worsted weight wool. The straight body is shaped at the waist by the cable on the back, gathering the fabric to create a flattering silhouette. The finishing is limited to weaving in the ends and sewing the buttons, making this design an easy and rewarding project. The construction also allows for easy customization, making attractive to a wide range of knitters. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY knit purl pick up stitches increase using lifted increase (explained in pattern) GAUGE 20 sts and 32 rows = 4"X4'' in stockinette stitch SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Bust (finished garment): 31 (35, 39, 43, 47, 51, 55.5) inches

Supplies Needed

  • 1050 (1150, 1275, 1425, 1550, 1675, 1850) yards of worsted weight wool. Sample shows Knitpicks Wool of the Andes in color 'Pampas Heather'
  • US size 7 (4.5mm) long straight or circular 32 inches or longer
  • US size 7 (4.5mm) set of DPNs for round knitting (optional)
