A slouchy hat in four sizes (XS/S/M/L) with a welted pattern that expands and contracts to give the piece luscious, cozy volume. The deep knit/purl texture gives body and definition to soft, luxury yarn blends, encouraging the hat to collapse into soft folds. Easy to work stitches and a simple, one-piece circular construction make this a great option for last minute gift knittingone that travels well and is suitable for any age or gender. Substituting yarn and/or needles may result in an overall variation in size and elasticity. Supplies Needed

  • 175(200, 220, 250) yards of any softly spun DK/light worsted yarn that knits to pattern gauge.
  • Needles: size 7US (4.5 mm) circular needle and DPNs for body (or size to obtain correct gauge) size 5US (3.75 mm) circular needle for brim (or two sizes smaller than body needle) Note:?smallest sizes will require the use of DPNs throughout; 16-inch circular needles can be used for middle sizes and 24-inch circulars for sizes above 19.5 inches
