Ionic Turquoise Earrings

Who is this project for? Women What are you most proud of? Both my daughters wanted me to make them a pair. I was able to use beads from a necklace that had been my grandmother's, someone my daughters never met. What advice would you give someone starting this project? Work with what you have. I couldn't afford the heavy-gauge silver wire, but the aluminum works great and looks good (and is A LOT lighter!), and the vintage glass was free (an old, broken necklace from my grandma)--not expensive gemstones which I probably would have had to drill and consequently would have broken. Unless you NEED that exact item, adapt what you have to the spirit of the pattern, and make it your own.

You Can Make This

jenonymous made Ionic Turquoise Earrings with:

  • 16 gauge aluminum round wire
  • vintage opaque glass beads
  • complementary earwires
