Ghost Town Glass, Mixed Media Necklace

Project Description

Who is this project for? Women What advice would you give someone starting this project? Use what ever you have as your focal piece. Any pendant that you have can be incorporated into the necklace. And, as you can see, it's ok to mix metals! If you want to use copper and silver, or gold and's all ok! The diversity is what will make your jewelry special.

What you will need

  • The focal piece in this wire-wrapped necklace is a piece of broken glass plate that I found out in the desert in Nevada. I sanded the edges so nothing sharp remains. I wire wrapped it in a mix of metals
  • copper wire
  • darker copper chain
  • gold wire and antique gold clasp
  • and I think it turned out really well. The contrast is very pretty. I love the idea of upcycling a piece of broken rubble to create a beautiful piece of jewelry!
