The butterfly on the picture was made for this precise tutorial. It is 10 cm (4") in the widest place and 7.5 cm (~3") high. It is made of 11/0 and 10/0 seed beads using peyote and herringbone stitch. I've used black pearl for the head & small agate beads for the eyes. With 11/0 seed beads the size of the butterfly is as follows: 10 cm (4") wide & 7.5 cm (3") high.
