The Forget-Me-Not Army Blanket

The 100 Anniverary of WWI was approching and I wanted to do something special. This project took 2 years to complete. I used an old army blanket, collected wool cloths that had been wornen by Newfoundlanders, washed it, dyed it, cut it up, and put it thought a big shot die that I designed and had made. The blanked has 6715 forget-me-not flowers sewn to it, one for each Royal Newfoundland Regiment member who served overseas in WWI. That is 6715 Fench Knots. The Blanket is a time line that shows the result of each battle. The blanket is explained on my web site www.jackiealcock.ca.
