Project Description

What are you most proud of? I am most proud of being healthy and able to pursue my dreams of sewing and embroidery. I am proud to have a husband that supports me and allows me to go upstairs and do my thing. I am a 4th grade teacher and I'm very proud of that! What advice would you give someone starting this project? Check out DigiStitches for designs and inspiration. Once you get started, you will be able to let the creative juices flow and you won't believe what you will end up with. This project is a lot of fun.... so , go for it! Let me know and post some pics.

What you will need

  • I prefer high quality cotton fabric for my hairclips. I backed the fabric with heat'n'bond lite and then with a matching color of felt. I used another layer of felt in the embroidery hoop. After cutting out each embroidered item
  • I embellish as needed with crystals
  • ribbons
  • pompoms
  • etc. Then I attach to a lined alligator clip and ribbons and bows. So cute
  • everyone loves them! I've made them for Easter
  • Halloween and Christmas. Love it! I made the paperclip bookmarks for my 4th grade students this Christmas. They were so much fun to make. I recently purchased a button machine and that's where it all started. I made a 1.5 button from a graphic I designed with the online software and individualized them for each student. They turned out so cute and I hope they will marke their spot in all the books they read each day.
