What are you most proud of? Stitching of course, at 90+, this senior still has it. The stitching made the quilt come alive and we now know the receipent of this quilt (not born yet but soon) however, her older sister is now going through her 2nd treatment. The young girl to receive this blanket will know that someone out there cares and thinks she is special What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1st Pick the focal point and try some new stitches to emblish it, remember, if you don't like the stitches, you can always take them out. 2nd Before stitching, tack the batting onto the fabric, stitch through fabric & batting resulting in the thread ends not showing through the fabric. (Especially, if you use a dark colour). 3rd Don't forget to stitch and emblish the outside frame thus creating a picture frame effect and it helps to draws the eye to the focal point.
