Q&A with michelesaltlake

Rod B asked:
Impressed with the perspective of the umbrella/chairs and agree with you about the white furniture's values.
michelesaltlake answered:
Thank you, Rod B. The severely contrasting values scale is the 'hook' that makes me draw this scenario quite a bit, actually.
mckennalinn asked:
Love the directional, bold lines you use for shading. I tend to muddle, need to work on that. Great study!
michelesaltlake answered:
Thank you, mckennalinn. I haven't been able to draw lately but I will get back to it soon!
Ana Oliver asked:
Impressed by the spontaneous, daring lines. And the bold contrast goes well with your style.
michelesaltlake answered:
The value drama is what attracts me to this part of my garden and I can't help but put that energy into the pencil.
Cafeglover asked:
This is a very pleasing drawing! Nice.
michelesaltlake answered:
Thank you, Cafeglover. It is also pleasing to sit there!
