Project

Carrington's Plaid

Project Description

What are you most proud of? The neatness of the blanket and that I created it with minimal planning, as well as finishing it before the weather turned cold What advice would you give someone starting this project? Make your own bobbins from cardboard rather than carrying the yarn across. Since the colors change so frequently to create the patten, the bobbins allowed the color changes to be neat and the fabric isn't thick and stiff. This was a great project for me to practice making the color change as neat as possible so that the back is almost as neat

What you will need

  • I used Red Heart Designer Sport yarn

Q&A with Cr8tionsByCourt

Partyof72015 asked:
Is this tunisian crochet? I really like the plaid, did you make the pattern yourself?
Cr8tionsByCourt answered:
Thank you! It's made entirely of single crochet. I did make the pattern myself. I started with a sketch on graph paper as a general template, and I got started. I ended up with quite a few more rows than I anticipated to get the almost square shape, but that was part of the fun.
