Q&A with kara dawn

Jing asked:
There doesn't seem to be any real pattern or instructions. It would be much appreciated!
kara dawn answered:
Unfortunately, i just made it, and didn't write anything down. I made the body in 5 rectangular panels, (all double crochet) with regular increases as i went to create more fullness at the bottom. sewed them together, and did a few rows of DCrochet along the entire bottom. then made a hood with a tassell. i had a smaller panel left over which i sewed inside for a big pocket. i used two buttons to join at the neck. i used 3 balls of Serene yarn. it works really well for this project as the seams dont really show with the texture of the yarn. If you have any other questions, i would be happy to try to help
hila.d asked:
I love it! My question would be, how would one (I'm a novice but I love a challenge) make it in a single colour? Panels would be something I'd work into once I figured it out.
kara dawn answered:
it would be much simpler in one color. i would start with the neck, and do double crochet with regular increases as you work the body. then you can make it as long and as full as you want. mine is big and heavy enough that i used two buttons to close at the top
Azmeema asked:
Gorgeous! I love the colors! Thank you for sharing this pattern with us. For me, I know how hard it is to complete an item once it starts getting as large as this. I admire your patterns and thank you for sharing them with us. Happy New Year.
kara dawn answered:
Thank you, Azmeema, I have put some of my projects on here and a lot of them I just made without a pattern and felt attacked and criticized when people demand a pattern and complain that I haven't provided them with information that does not exist.
