Preparing for total hip replacement surgery, I wanted a way to bring things with me while my hands were occupied so I designed these bags for my walker. In the hospital it came in very handy since I could go get my own coffee in my travel cup and carry it back with me in the water bottle holder (I made one slightly larger by switching to ch 3 in place of ch 2 halfway through and adding a few rows to make it fit). After a couple weeks I graduated from a walker to a cane but since I had my son's crutches in the garage, I decided to use one of them and transferred my bags so I could still carry things easily. These bags are a great, thoughtful gift for anyone needing adaptive equipment for mobility! BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY single crochet, half double crochet GAUGE Not important in this project. Married over 30 years, crocheting over 40 years, I have been designing my own patterns for quite some time. Of course it's harder to write a pattern than it is to design one, so my patterns have all been tested for accuracy. If you should find an error, please let me know.
