I moved close to the ocean about 10 years ago. I look at it every day. I noticed a lot of my designs where influenced by it so I decided to really go with that and make a throw based on the sea. And so To the Sea was born. You will find inspiration from whales, to shells, to windmills and waves and much more in it. You will receive the 7 patterns needed to make the throw, plus the layout, 2 border options, gauge information, yarn requirements - everything you need to make it up for yourself. A word of warning - the central block is quite challenging. There is a lot of counting and a few unconventional ways of doing things. Take it slow, and you'll be fine :) BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY crochet using techniques such as bp, dec GAUGE I have provided gauge information in each pattern so you can achieve the same size. SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS 50" x 50" SUGGESTED YARN 2200 meters of DK weight PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Bendigo Woollen Mills Luxury 8 ply COLORWAY All the blues

Hi! I'm Shelley. Nice to see you. :) I live in a small town in country Victoria, Australia. I have made many different things for many years, but my current obsession is crochet design. I love to design crochet patterns that extend your skills, gently challenging and encouraging you to create classic, timeless crochet pieces. I get a real kick out of seeing folks create beautiful crochet items they thought were beyond their skills. If you can crochet a granny square, you can do my patterns, if you’re willing to learn and have a go. I always provide lots of support with links to videos, step by step photos and clear instructions. I love nothing more than sitting down with some yarn, a hook and a fresh page in my notebook to design a new pattern. Seamless crochet is my thing. I try my best to make the changes between rounds as invisible as possible. To hear about new patterns, free patterns, hints & tips, sign up to my newsletter : Thanks for stopping by :)
