PATTERN DETAILS

Doris duck is made in 3 parts: bill, head and body, wings (optional). Like most amigurumi, this piece is worked in a continuous spiral. do not join rounds. Using a stitch marker (such as a piece of string) can help keep track of rounds. To change colours for a round, a round of slip stitches define the colour change.: with first colour complete a round of slip stitches and fasten off; begin the new colour with a slip stitch and a chain 1 in the round previous to the slip stitches to attach the yarn; work the first round of the new colour the stitches of the round prior to the slip stitches. Stuff as you go (polyester filling, cotton, yarn scraps, etc.) --- WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW --- 1. This pattern is written in clear, North American terms. 2. Stitches Used: chain (ch), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc), single crochet (sc), single crochet decrease (sc2tog), slip stitch (sl st) 3. Instructions given sc2tog stitch 4. The pattern is sized to fit a 1.5" diameter rattle insert in the body.
