PATTERN DETAILS

After a few months of making other people's beanie and hat patterns, I sat down and created this 'EasyFit' design. It uses all of the knowledge I had collected, but puts my own spin on a beanie. As someone who does not like a tight beanie on my head, this design allows for a looser fit and is therefore very comfortable to wear. The other beauty of this design is that a 10year old can wear it (it's slouchy) and so can I as a medium adult head. A unisex design makes it very versatile. The pattern uses ADVANCED crochet techniques and I recommend Moogly.com as a resource to learn any of these techniques. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Crochet in the round, Front Post & Back Post DC Chainless Starting Double Crochet (CSdc) Double Crochet (dc) Single Crochet (sc) GAUGE 8 DC and 8 Rows to 4" (16.5cm) square SUGGESTED YARN 110 meters of DK weight

Recommended with this pattern

Made for YOU by Fi
Made for YOU by Fi
The 'Made for YOU by Fi' story starts at Christmas 2012. My sister gave me a book on Afghan blankets. I made a baby 'Fish Ripples' blanket from that book, took a photo and shared it on my personal FaceBook page. Someone I knew asked me to make one for her, and the rest is history! I started with Afghans and Cowls and have moved through evening bags, scarves, hats, wrist warmers, Crocodile Shoes and am now making hooded cowls and hooded ponchos. The sky seems to be the limit, although there are some things that just don't interest me. My motto is : "YOU choose the colour, YOU choose the size, YOU choose the thread and it will be Made for YOU by Fi". So, if YOU want something special, it's highly likely that I can create something to fit the bill - just contact me and ask!
