Pattern Details

This hooded vest is named for Tenzing Norgay, an avid and relentless explorer and one of the first people to reach the top of Mount Everest. The vest is worked in one piece with minimal seaming at the shoulders and top of hood. The ribbed detail uses post stitches to create strong vertical lines that continue around the hood. The pattern includes five sizes (from 0-24 months) and buttonhole instructions for both boy's and girl's versions. I love to teach people how to knit or crochet and then watch them get totally addicted. As co-owner of Sweet Paprika Designs, I'm always surrounded by yarn and knitting, and enjoy exploring the relationship between designing patterns and dyeing yarn. When not knitting, I love to dance, teach Pilates, go on picnics and travel.
