This Sunflower Afghan Square was designed for the 2015 Mystery Lapghan CAL. I was inspired by a flower clip I made back in July, but I wanted to do a 6 petal version. As you can see, that didn't work out as well as I hoped, but will be revisited. For now, I have a smaller sunflower in this afghan square. I also didn't intend on tacking down the petals, but they were curling so I got creative with the round. It led to the forming of the front post stitches that create a fun texture and visual. This pattern is labeled intermediate due to the use of post stitches, but with the photos included, an advanced beginner could work this project. Photos included for working in the back loop, working a front post stitch, and how to work the special stitch used to tack down petals - 4 photos total. PDF with just the two main photos also available - send me an email after purchase if you desire this one [EyeLoveKnots@gmail.com].
