PATTERN DETAILS

Do you love Build-A-Bear Workshop? Well I do, but I find myself, at times, hard pressed to buy the clothing they offer for the bears made there. The solution? Design my own clothing for my growing collection of BAB animals! This cardigan is the second design that I have available for the lovable, huggable, stuffed animals that we all cherish--even into adulthood. The clothing fits any style of teddy bear (that is not just build-a-bear bears). Currently the only size I have is for a 12" bear. But I will be adding adjustments soon to size it for smaller and perhaps larger bears. BASIC SKILLS NECESSARY Half double crochet slip stitch working in the back bar of a hdc single crochet GAUGE While exact gauge is not essential for this project, 7 hdc = 2" and 6 rows = 2" SIZING / FINISHED MEASUREMENTS Sized to fit a teddy bear 12-13" tall and about 14-16" around the chest/belly PREFERRED BRAND/YARN Red Heart Super Saver COLORWAY Cherry Red and Spring Green

Hello all, My name is CheVon Bell and I absolutely LOVE to crochet! I crochet amigurumi (which is a fancy way of saying crocheted stuffed animal), sweaters, hats, and anything else that comes to mind. I've done sewing, I've tried knitting; but for me, crochet is the way to go! I began with knitting when I was pregnant with child number two, but found I didn't have the patience for it. Then I turned to crochet and never turned back. After child number 2 was born, I tried my hand at knitting again and it finally stuck! Also, and by no means secondary to crochet, I have 3 lovey daughters--5, 7, and 11 years old--and a wonderfully supportive husband. ^_^
