PATTERN DETAILS

Enjoy springtime sweetness year-round with this intriguing ruffled crochet top. It will be ideal in white for warm, sunny days. This top features cascades of ruffles gracefully stitched into the skirt. With cherry appliqus sewn on and a delicate two-toned ribbon woven into the straps and front of the bodice, they add the perfect finishing touch. Its refreshing beauty is sure to delight the lucky wearer, especially when made in her favorite color! MAGINE THIS: Get creative and add vibrant hues with variety of ribbons and appliqus! Create a playful contrast and crochet bodice and skirt in different colors. You can also modify the pattern into a slightly different girly tank top by crocheting a longer bodice and adding just three layers of ruffles. Or just crochet a bodice part without ruffles, which could work as a vest worn with a shirt or blouse. GAUGE 25 sts x 20 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Bodice pattern. Take time to check gauge. I am a published knitwear and crochet designer, specializing in children’s clothing. I love coming up with designs that are new and different, and I find inspiration in everything and everyone around me … my family, children, imagination, yarn, textures, nature … In the past several years, I’ve created and sold hundreds of custom-made (mostly one of a kind) items online. However, one day I realized that I have too much on my plate and couldn’t keep up with all orders anymore. I thought if I started writing patterns, I could make something just once and let other knitters and crocheters make the garments by themselves, and even sell finished projects made from my patterns. I really feel that it was the right direction to take, and I’ve been so blessed by this experience. Somebody else making something out of what I’ve created—that’s what makes me happiest! I hope that you will enjoy working with my patterns as much as I have enjoyed designing and writing them for you. Please visit MyLittleCityGirl.com to learn more about me and my designs, and locate stores where my patterns are sold.
