I was googling the term "ruffle", trying to come up with a name for this ruffle crochet scarf, when I came across the term "Ruckus" and knew I had a name for my new design! This is an advanced beginner crochet pattern using single, half double, and double crochet stitches to create the ruffle. Scarf is made sideways. There is also a knit version! You can use any yarn, any hook, and any gauge, and make the scarf to your desired width and length. Many thanks to my testers, beadabunch, laurie2011, Vaughnde, pandastamper, debspugs, mollyanna, shyamanivas and MandyS2! Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please do not sell finished items online. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item ( If you have any questions or comments or just want to join like-minded souls, please join my Ravelry group at Thanks! Anastacia Knits Designs
My name is Anastacia, and I am the scrap yarn/one skein queen. I buy my yarn mainly at yard sales/thrift stores, so I got used to making do with what I could find. So most of my patterns are designed to use up the odd skeins or leftovers in your life, and are geared towards beginner crocheters or those who just want a fast, easy, but still pretty item. I'm a 30 something adult living in MA. I’m married, have a wonderful cat named Wedgie, & I work full time. I also teach knitting & crocheting at my local Michael's & squeeze in designing as many hours as I can a week. I do love to hear from everyone, but please remember that I am busy, just like you, & will reply as soon as I can. All of my patterns use USA terms & abbreviations. I try to layout my patterns as simply as possible to save money for people printing at home. My patterns are as short as possible, usually with only one photo on the first page, which you can easily skip printing to save ink. .
